Speaking on Arise Television’s Prime Time program, Benson noted that many of those suspected of funding terrorism have been monitored and investigated for an extended period.

He emphasized that the government is working tirelessly to curb rising insecurity across the nation.

Benson explained that terrorism sponsors include both Nigerians and foreign collaborators, but their names cannot be disclosed at this stage due to sensitive security concerns.

He said, “Terror financiers in Nigeria cannot be prosecuted openly. Several of them have been under careful investigation and have already been identified. Some are within the country while others operate from abroad. The government has made significant progress recently, but their identities remain classified for security reasons.
