Reports say the fight erupted over a ₦200,000 dispute, beginning inside Phyna’s hotel room before spilling into the lobby, where bystanders and police officers intervened to restore calm.

A video of the incident circulating online appeared to show Phyna being attacked, but the former Big Brother Naija winner has now offered her side of the story.

In a post shared via her Instagram page on Wednesday evening, Phyna claimed she was ambushed from behind while leaving the hotel and insisted that the viral clips were edited to distort the truth.

She also disclosed that the woman involved in the fight is currently hospitalized and yet to regain consciousness, urging fans to pray for her recovery.

Her post read:

“The person I fought is still in the hospital. They brought touts to attack me and people to record it. I was attacked from behind on my way out, and they even cropped the video just to twist the story as if they beat me. Make una rest! The girl wey I beat never even regain consciousness. Pray for me make who I beat no die, abeg.”
