In an emotional post on Instagram, the Logan Ti Ode crooner recounted how several of her past relationships ended abruptly each time she tried to take things to the next level.

According to her, each time she was ready to introduce a suitor to her parents, the men would suddenly claim they needed to “pray about it,” only to cut off communication afterward.

She explained,

“When I became an adult and it was time to introduce men to my parents, something strange always happened. The men would say they needed to go and pray, and after that, they’d stop calling me.”

The 54-year-old singer added that some of the men later confessed they had been warned by prophets not to marry her.

“One of our go-betweens once told me that a man I was seeing had consulted prophets, and they said I wasn’t the right person for him. I can count about four men who stylishly walked away from me.”

Tope Alabi also narrated how she met another man through her workplace who showed serious interest, but before he could formally introduce himself, her father had already given her hand in marriage to another man.

“He told my parents he would return for the proper introduction, but before that happened, my father had already given my hand in marriage. We didn’t need him to come again,” she said.

Today, Tope Alabi is happily married to her husband and music producer, Soji Alabi. The couple have been together for over two decades and are blessed with three children.
