Revealing the purpose of his visit through a statement from his Chief Press Secretary, Edwin Olofu, the APC leader clarified that he had gone to formally introduce the newly appointed leadership of the APC to the former president.
Additionally, he wanted to extend his congratulations to him on the occasion of Nigeria’s 63rd Independence anniversary.
He stated, “Our primary purpose was to introduce the recently established National Working Committee of our esteemed party. Moreover, we wanted to demonstrate our unwavering support and gratitude to him for his eight-year contribution to the country.
We also conveyed our congratulations to him on the celebration of Nigeria’s 63rd Independence Day, marking eight years of his administration’s role in the nation’s 63-year journey.”
Further elaborating, the former governor expressed his satisfaction with the APC’s successes in several of the Tribunal verdicts that had been rendered.
