Their luck took a turn for the worse one day when they were caught and nearly lynched, but fortunately, they managed to escape miraculously.
Daddy Showkey emphasized that despite his troubled upbringing and past experiences, he was able to achieve legendary status. He believes that anyone can accomplish greatness if they are determined and work hard for it.
He recounted, “I used to be part of a gang. I won’t deny it. Some of us came across a gun while scavenging through a garbage dump in Ikorodu. We started using the gun to intimidate people in the area. One day, during our usual activities, someone spotted us and raised an alarm, calling out ‘thieves, thieves, thieves.’ We tried to flee, but we were apprehended. They tied us up and were on the verge of lynching us, but we were miraculously saved.
