Vice President Kashim Shettima has expressed confidence that Nigeria is on the upswing from its economic trials. Speaking at the formal commencement of the National Design and Innovation Competition in Abuja’s Presidential Villa, Shettima highlighted the nation’s youthful demographic, averaging just 19 years old, as a wellspring of innovative potential for Nigeria’s socio-economic advancement. He emphasized the pivotal role of innovation in propelling manufacturing and underscored Nigeria’s abundant opportunities for growth.

Assuring support for the aspirations and entrepreneurial endeavors of the youth, Shettima lauded financial institutions for their investment in the creative sector. Moreover, he revealed intentions to integrate young innovators into the government’s $617.7 million Investment in Digital and Creative Enterprises (i-DICE) initiative.

In a notable declaration, the Vice President asserted that the nation has weathered the worst of its economic challenges. He projected a sustained stabilization of the naira in the forthcoming weeks and months, attributing this positive outlook to the concerted efforts of the Bola Tinubu administration in addressing critical issues such as food security, nutrition, and insecurity. Shettima also highlighted President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s comprehensive strategies aimed at resolving security concerns across the nation.
