In a swiftly organized press conference, representatives of NNPP expressed their discontent with the verdict, challenging the transparency and impartiality of the process. They believe that their candidate, Abba Kabir, had a stronger legal stance, and the judgment in favor of the APC candidate, Gawuna, was influenced by external forces.

A spokesperson of the NNPP Counsel stated:

“The judgement has just come out now and you can see where are just coming out from the court and what the court has said we ascertain it and we have even highlight our people yesterday that they sign of injustice taking place in this court.”

“We informed our people that injustice we likely take place in this court and we are appealing to our supporters and the populace of Kano State that will didn’t accept this judgement we are appealing.”
