According to the outlook released on Sunday in Abuja, isolated thunderstorms are expected in the northern states of Sokoto, Katsina, Kano, Kebbi, Zamfara, Kaduna, Adamawa, and Taraba on Monday morning. Additionally, intermittent rainfall is anticipated in Niger, Benue, Kogi, Kwara, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) during the same period.

As the day progresses, localized rains are likely in the afternoon and evening across the FCT, Plateau, Niger, and Nasarawa states. In the southeast, states including Ebonyi, Enugu, Abia, Imo, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, and Cross River are forecast to experience morning rains, with localized rainfall continuing into the afternoon in Abia, Ondo, Osun, Oyo, and Akwa Ibom.

On Tuesday, NiMet predicts morning thunderstorms in parts of Borno, Bauchi, Gombe, Adamawa, and Taraba, with these conditions extending later in the day across Bauchi, Gombe, Kaduna, Yobe, Zamfara, Sokoto, and other northern states. Isolated rains are expected in Benue, Kogi, the FCT, and Nasarawa, with intermittent rainfall affecting Edo, Ondo, Cross River, Delta, Rivers, and Bayelsa throughout the day.

For Wednesday, thunderstorms are forecast for Kebbi, Bauchi, Sokoto, Borno, and Katsina in the morning, with isolated thunderstorms continuing in Kebbi, Katsina, Sokoto, Zamfara, Adamawa, Kano, and Taraba later in the day. Morning rainfall is predicted for the FCT and Niger, followed by isolated thunderstorms in Nasarawa, Plateau, and Niger. The southern part of the country will experience cloudy skies in the morning, with moderate rainfall expected in states such as Abia, Ebonyi, Imo, Edo, Rivers, and Delta later in the day.
