According to a source, EFCC personnel initially engaged with the Institute’s management before proceeding with the arrests. However, turmoil erupted when the anti-corruption agency’s operatives attempted to make arrests within the college.

The source, who is a college staff member, stated, “Students showed solidarity with their fellow students. While the FCFN management was addressing the issue, a backup team arrived and started firing shots. I understand that three students were wounded by gunshots and were subsequently taken to the hospital.”

When reached for comment, EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale mentioned that he was in the process of gathering information about the incident and would issue an official statement once he had the details.
