Sources familiar with the matter, as reported by The Nation, indicated that the discussions focused on issues affecting the state, though no official statement was issued following the engagement.

According to the source, after the meeting, Governor Fubara accompanied Minister Wike to his residence in Guzape, Abuja. During the visit, Fubara reportedly appealed to the minister and pledged to maintain a respectful relationship moving forward. He is said to have assured Wike that he would not show him disrespect again.

This is not the first time President Tinubu has met with the two leaders to address political tensions in Rivers State.
