Speaking at the 2025 Regimental Dinner Night held in Abuja on Monday as part of the Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebrations, Tinubu—represented by the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu—praised the military as a source of pride and inspiration for all Nigerians.

“It is with great honor and deep appreciation that I stand before you tonight as the Special Guest of Honour at this remarkable gathering. This event not only underscores our shared commitment to the security and unity of our great nation but also recognizes the countless sacrifices made by our men and women in uniform,” he stated.

He emphasized the pivotal role of the Nigerian Armed Forces, describing them as more than a military institution but a cornerstone of national security and a symbol of hope, peace, and integrity for the country.

“The dedication and professionalism exhibited by our service men and women should inspire pride in every Nigerian. As we celebrate today, let us also look forward to the future,” Tinubu added.

Acknowledging the challenges faced by the military in carrying out their duties, the President assured them of his administration’s commitment to enhancing their capacity through adequate equipment and resources.
