Tinubu made these remarks during the combined 37th and 38th convocation ceremony at the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN).

He highlighted the global trend of public-private financing in education and emphasized its importance in meeting the financial needs of universities.

Furthermore, he pointed out that the federal government has taken steps to enhance education funding by enacting a student loan program, which is expected to positively transform the education sector in Nigeria.
