Preceding the meeting, President Tinubu oversaw the swearing-in ceremonies of two significant bodies: the Federal Civil Service Commission, which includes a chairman and 11 members, and the new chairman (Musa Aliyu) of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).

The Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) in Nigeria is entrusted with managing the federal civil service. Its pivotal responsibilities encompass recruiting personnel based on merit, regulating civil service operations, formulating HR policies, and orchestrating training programs. The commission’s efforts are geared towards ensuring efficient public administration and fostering a merit-based system, thereby contributing to national development and the effective delivery of government services.
