In a statement issued on Thursday and jointly signed by Co-Chairman of its Board of Trustees, King Alfred Diette-Spiff, Amanyanabo of Twon-Brass; Co-Chairman and former Akwa Ibom Governor, Obong Victor Attah; National Chairman, Ambassador Godknows Igali; and National Secretary, Engr. Beks Dagogo-Jack, the forum urged political leaders and citizens to put aside past divisions and work together to rebuild Rivers State.

“While PANDEF strongly objected to the imposition of the emergency rule, we commend His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for this courageous step in restoring normalcy.

We welcome Governor Siminalayi Fubara back to his office and salute his perseverance and faith in God. To the political leaders and the people of Rivers, the true victims of the dark days, we say this: light has returned, and a brighter dawn has come,” the statement read.
