General Paul Tarfa (retd), the chairman of the commission, revealed this following a brief meeting with the Vice President at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Wednesday. He explained that the NEDC is working on plans to establish a 5kVA or 10kVA solar-powered grid to help bridge the power supply gap in the area.
In addition to electric vehicles designed to carry more passengers and goods, the commission also plans to deploy electric tricycles in the region.
