Before discussions commenced, the President administered the swearing-in ceremony for newly appointed Federal Commissioners and Permanent Secretaries, reinforcing the administration’s governance structure.

The meeting saw the approval of significant infrastructure projects, including road projects worth N885 billion, covering the reconstruction of the Onitsha-Owerri Expressway, the Musasa-Jos route in Kaduna, and major upgrades to the Lokoja-Benin Highway. The Abuja-Kano Expressway restructuring, valued at N252 billion, was also a major focus, with new expansions and the installation of solar-powered streetlights for improved safety and visibility.

Beyond road infrastructure, key decisions included the approval of a $45.3 million feasibility study for a modernized railway system linking Nigeria’s major seaports to the hinterlands and the establishment of the Creative and Tourism Infrastructure Corporation, an initiative projected to inject $100 billion into Nigeria’s GDP and create two million jobs.
