President Bola Tinubu has departed Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, for Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where he is expected to attend the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign rally ahead of the 2027 general elections.

According to Bush Radio Academy, the President left Uyo on Saturday, November 7, following a two-day visit to Akwa Ibom and Rivers states, during which he commissioned several infrastructure projects and participated in an APC campaign rally in the state capital.

Tinubu’s visit to Port Harcourt is expected to bring him together with APC leaders, political stakeholders and supporters as the ruling party intensifies its mobilisation ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Before departing Uyo, the President inaugurated several projects completed by the administration of Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno. The facilities included the new International Terminal Building, International Airport Hospital and Ibom Aviation Village at Victor Attah International Airport.

Other projects commissioned during the visit included the Airport-Okopedi Road, Ring Road 3, the AKWA-GIS Office Complex, the Command and Control Centre and the ARISE Palm Resort.

Tinubu also attended an APC political rally in Uyo as part of his engagements in the state.

The Port Harcourt event will mark his third major campaign appearance since the APC commenced its re-election campaign with a flag-off rally in Kaduna last month.

The rally is expected to provide another opportunity for the President to engage party supporters and strengthen the APC’s political mobilisation in Rivers State as preparations for the 2027 general elections continue.
