The President noted the ambassador’s dedication to diplomacy and the significant role he played in ensuring the success of the President’s inaugural foreign trip to France in June of this year, shortly after assuming office on May 29.

With a distinguished career spanning 35 years as a Nigerian diplomat from 1983 to 2018, Ambassador Laro’s depth of understanding in geopolitical intricacies and his skillful utilization of extensive expertise in multilateral diplomacy to advance global peace, security, and development were vividly remembered by President Tinubu.

The President emphasized that Ambassador Laro’s appointment as an Ambassador to represent Nigeria in France in July 2020, and his status as a Fellow of the National Defence College, were testaments to his widely recognized proficiency and dedication.
