The incident occurred when a petrol tanker lost control and burst into flames at Ugwu Onyeama on the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu urged road users, especially fuel tanker operators, to prioritize safety and exercise caution. He also directed traffic control agencies to implement stricter measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
