President Bola Tinubu is gearing up to depart Lagos State for a business forum in Qatar, as revealed by the official Presidency Nigeria X handle on Thursday, February 29.
Upon receiving an invitation from His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, Tinubu is set to visit the country and actively participate in the upcoming business and investment forum.
The official statement stated, “President Tinubu honors the invitation to visit Qatar and participate in the business and investment forum.”
It’s worth noting that earlier, Qatar had initially rejected the proposed business forum trip, citing the absence of a signed agreement between the State of Qatar and the Federal Republic of Nigeria regarding investment and promotion.
In other news, Dr. Sam Amadi, the director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thought, criticized former Military Head of State, Yakubu Gowon, labeling his comment on the Biafra war as disgraceful and indicative of a lack of wisdom.
