Tinubu Set To Reshuffle Cabinet, Presidency Announces

At a press conference held at the State House in Abuja on Wednesday, Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, expressed concern that despite the government’s efforts, many Nigerians remain unaware of the progress being made.

Onanuga stated, “The President has expressed his intention to reshuffle the cabinet, and he will do so. Whether this happens before October 1st, I cannot confirm, but the reshuffle will take place. That’s what I can say, though no specific timeline has been given.”

Addressing the administration’s performance, Onanuga added, “At the last Federal Executive Council meeting, the President instructed all ministers to actively communicate the activities of his administration. Some ministers have been hesitant to engage with the media, whether on TV or radio, but the President wants them to overcome that and speak out about the work they’ve been doing.”

He continued, “There’s a public perception that the government is not doing enough, but in reality, much is being done. It is now up to the ministers to ‘blow their own trumpet’ and inform the public about the initiatives and progress of their ministries.”
