President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was honored to receive letters of credence from three distinguished ambassadors on Friday at Aso Villa in Abuja. The envoys who presented their credentials were Athanasios Kotsonis from Greece, Major General Sohail Ahmed Khan from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and Mohamed Ahmed from the Arab Republic of Egypt.
Meanwhile, in a separate event, President Tinubu conferred the Grand Commander of the Order of Nigeria (GCON) title upon the Awujale and paramount ruler of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona, during his 90th birthday celebration at the Oba Sikiru Adetona School of Governance, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State. Vice President Kashim Shettima represented the President at the ceremony and praised the monarch’s immense contributions to national development. Additionally, the President directed the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru, Jos, to assume control of the Oba Sikiru Adetona School of Governance, a generous donation by the royal father to the university.
President Tinubu hailed the Awujale as an exceptional leader and democracy icon, revered nationwide for his dedication and bravery in advancing national interests.
