Tinubu’s Aide Highlights Ongoing Efforts To Tackle Domestic Issues

Onanuga emphasized that President Tinubu remains actively engaged in addressing domestic challenges, asserting his involvement in key matters such as the inauguration of the Tripartite Committee on National Minimum Wage. He revealed that the President has been closely monitoring developments in the country even while abroad, staying in constant communication with officials and security chiefs.

Addressing Atiku’s concerns, Onanuga highlighted the tangible outcomes of President Tinubu’s interventions, particularly in the ongoing efforts to combat kidnapping. He reported the recent arrest of over 139 kidnappers in Abuja, Kaduna, and Benue States, with the police Special Intervention Squad and the Department of State Services rescuing 154 abducted persons in the past few days.

Onanuga further disclosed that President Tinubu approved a special fund of N50 billion to tackle security challenges in the North East, along with additional funding for acquiring equipment to track criminals in the Federal Capital Territory.

Expressing disappointment in Atiku’s statements, Onanuga criticized the PDP candidate for making “reckless allegations” and urged him to recognize President Tinubu’s commitment to addressing security issues and restoring peace across the nation. He argued that if Atiku is genuinely concerned about security matters, he should acknowledge the President’s proactive efforts rather than engaging in what he deemed as “cheap politics.
