In a statement delivered to the press by its coordinator, Babatunde Ogala, SAN, the TPLT clarified the situation. Ogala, SAN, explained that representatives of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and its presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, were present at the court’s Registry when certified copies of the PEPC judgment were distributed to the parties.

Ogala stated that upon receiving the judgment, President Tinubu’s legal team added a watermark to its own copy before circulating it among its members.

He emphasized that the certified true copies issued by the court’s registry did not include the disputed inscription.

The TPLT emphasized that the insinuations circulating in certain quarters were untrue, unkind, unfair, and unfortunate, noting that all counsel involved had identical certified copies of the judgment.

It is worth recalling that the court recently affirmed President Tinubu’s victory in the presidential election held on February 25.
