During the inaugural session of his administration’s first Cabinet Retreat at the new Conference Centre in the Presidential Villa, Abuja, President Tinubu made it clear that he is willing to spare no effort to rescue the country from its present condition.
The 2023 Cabinet Retreat, centered on ‘Delivering on the Renewed Hope Agenda,’ has been organized for ministers, presidential aides, permanent secretaries, and other top government officials.
He stated, “This is our country, and we have no other; let’s take pride in being Nigerians and believe that we can make it. You can exhibit leadership. We can work towards making democracy a lasting model for the rest of Africa.
“Do not be afraid to make decisions, but do not be adversarial towards your superiors. If they are mistaken, discuss it.
I stand before you and have declared on numerous occasions, and I am repeating it today as well, as the President, I can make mistakes; bring them to my attention, and I will rectify that conflict, that mistake. Perfection is solely the domain of God Almighty.
“However, you are here to assist me in achieving success. Success is a necessity that I must attain by any means necessary. We have brilliant minds, great intellects, and everything we need,” he remarked.
