Tragedy Hits Nollywood As 32-Year-Old Actress Tenia Abraham Omenogor Is Laid To Rest

Nollywood actress Tenia Abraham Omenogor has died at the age of 32 following a battle with a kidney infection. The actress has since been laid to rest in Abuja.

According to Bush Radio Academy, Omenogor died on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, while her family announced her passing two days later, on Thursday, October 15.

Her burial took place on Saturday, October 17, with family members, friends and loved ones gathering to pay their final respects to the late actress.

In a tribute shared on her social media page, the family described her death as a painful loss, celebrating her life, talent and the impact she had on those around her.

The statement described Omenogor as a gifted actress whose passion and contributions touched many lives, adding that her legacy would not be forgotten.

The family also announced that the burial ceremony would take place at Gudu Cemetery in Abuja, with mourners asked to gather earlier at the Federal Medical Centre, Jabi, to pay their final respects.

Beyond her work in Nollywood, Omenogor was also a former Beauty Queen South South, having held the title in 2020.

Her death has added to the recent reports of young Nigerian entertainers passing away. Her demise came just days after the death of gospel singer Toluwanisings.

Pelumi Olajengbesi, convener of the Coalition of Public Interest Lawyers and Advocates (COPA), announced the singer’s death in a post on Instagram on Wednesday.

While praying for God’s mercy upon Toluwanisings, Olajengbesi expressed concern over the deaths of young Nigerians.

The passing of Omenogor has left family members, friends and colleagues mourning the loss of a young actress whose life and career ended at the age of 32.
