A tragic incident unfolded on Saturday, March 9, as Nimotalahi Ishola Folashade reportedly lost her life by drowning after allegedly leaping off a boat. Ms. Ishola, accompanied by eleven other passengers, embarked on a boat journey from Isuti jet in Igando, Lagos state, bound for Totowu in Ogun state, according to police sources.
The boat’s captain revealed that, while in the midst of the river, Folashade deliberately removed her life jacket and plunged into the water. Upon inspection of her belongings, a bottle of insecticide, an Alimosho General Hospital card, and various medications were discovered in her bag.
Promptly, the incident was reported to the police, and current efforts are underway to recover her body. The circumstances surrounding the tragic event remain under investigation.
