Activist Comrade Israel Joe took to Facebook on Friday, May 3, 2024, to share the heartbreaking news, revealing that Roseline had passed away the previous Friday after enduring two weeks of intensive medical care in a Warri hospital.

According to Joe, Roseline confided before her demise that despite feeling ostracized by her friends, she had joined them for a catering assignment in Sapele, where the horrific incident occurred.

Expressing his determination to seek justice for Roseline, Joe vowed to hold the perpetrators accountable for their actions.

In his Facebook post mourning her, Joe described the ordeal Roseline endured, stating, “RIP, dear Rozzy. She was pushed into a big boiling pot of ground fresh pepper and tomatoes by her friend on Saturday, April 13th. She battled for about two weeks with her roasted/boiled body and finally died last week Friday, April 26th.”

He lamented the lack of acknowledgment surrounding Roseline’s death, as she was buried without any public farewells or memorial posters, despite living among the same friends accused of causing her demise.

Joe recounted Roseline’s account of feeling marginalized by her friends, who conversed in their local language during the catering job, leaving her unable to understand. This language barrier reportedly culminated in the tragic incident.

Roseline was promptly taken to Sage Hospital in Warri following the ordeal, where efforts were made to treat her injuries. However, despite the medical intervention, she did not survive.

Expressing his frustration with the lack of legal action taken against the alleged perpetrators, Joe called for accountability, emphasizing that all citizens, regardless of ethnicity, are entitled to justice under the law.

Vowing to continue advocating for Roseline, Joe condemned her untimely and tragic death, pledging to pursue justice until it is served.
