The Chairman of the Council had to be swiftly taken to the hospital after collapsing at his residence. Sources indicate that he had been actively involved in a series of political meetings, gearing up for the impending governorship election in the state on Saturday.
According to a family insider who spoke anonymously with Daily Trust, Muhammed was urgently transported to Shifa Hospital in Lokoja soon after collapsing at home late Thursday.
The family member disclosed, “Doctors confirmed him clinically dead around 4:30 am on Friday.”
Hailing from ward B in the cantonment area of Lokoja, the late Council Chairman is scheduled to be interred at the Unguwan Kura Muslim cemetery following the Juma’at prayer on Friday.
Sympathizers were observed flocking to his family residence on Friday morning in the cantonment area of Lokoja to offer condolences to the family concerning his sudden and untimely passing.
