Transfer Sh*ck: Galatasaray Reject Arsenal’s Interest In Victor Osimhen

Galatasaray president, Dursun Özbek, has ruled out the possibility of Victor Osimhen leaving the Turkish club this summer despite reported interest from Premier League champions Arsenal.

The Nigerian striker has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for the Gunners following his impressive performances for Galatasaray.

Reports have suggested that Arsenal could explore a potential deal involving Gabriel Martinelli and Ethan Nwaneri as part of an offer for the 27-year-old forward.

However, Özbek has made it clear that Galatasaray is not interested in entertaining any proposal for Osimhen, regardless of the amount involved.

The club president stressed that he would not approve a transfer that could negatively affect Galatasaray or fail to serve the club’s interests.

He reportedly said that his stance on Osimhen was even firmer than his position on Barış Alper Yılmaz, insisting that the Nigerian striker would not be sold for any amount.

Meanwhile, Osimhen has played down speculation surrounding his future and said he remains focused on his duties at Galatasaray.

The Nigeria international acknowledged that transfer rumours are common during transfer windows but said he would leave discussions about his long-term future until the appropriate time.

Osimhen has already made an impressive start to the new season, scoring both of Galatasaray’s goals in their 2-2 draw against Arca Çorum FK.

Despite his two-goal contribution, the striker expressed disappointment that Galatasaray failed to secure all three points.

Osimhen described the result as a “wake-up call”, noting that the team must learn from the performance and prepare for the challenges ahead.

He stressed that Galatasaray should not underestimate any opponent, adding that the team would need to improve, learn from its mistakes and remain focused as the season progresses.
