Maiwada strongly asserted the NCS’s dedication to accountability and transparency in all its operations, denying any involvement in fraudulent activities or underhand dealings during e-auctions. He addressed the specific claim of 300 vehicles being auctioned to one individual as entirely false, misguided, and spurious.

Furthermore, he dismissed the suggestion of a mere N10,000 duty collection per vehicle during the e-auction, emphasizing the transparency and adherence to regulations in the process. Maiwada provided data, stating that out of 13,605 applicants in five bidding windows, 462 individuals won auctions for 476 vehicles, generating N556,738,736 in revenue for the government.

In conclusion, Maiwada reiterated the NCS’s commitment to transparency and accountability, urging the public to support the service in fostering an inclusive system beneficial to all Nigerians. He emphasized the need for collective efforts to promote fairness and adherence to the rule of law.
