The Kogi State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Abuja postponed its judgment on the SDP’s petition against Governor Usman Ododo’s victory. INEC, the APC, and Ododo requested dismissal, while Ajaka’s counsel urged the tribunal to uphold their petition. The tribunal, led by Justice Ado Birnin-Kudu, will announce the new judgment date later. Ododo won the election with 446,237 votes, contested by Ajaka with 259,052 votes and Melaye with 46,362 votes. Both Ododo and Melaye have raised concerns about irregularities, leading Ajaka to challenge the election outcome in court.
