Truth Bomb: Dele Momodu Exposes PDP’s Alleged Plan To Field Obi, Jonathan, Makinde

Speaking on the party’s decision to zone its presidential ticket to the South, Momodu described it as “the most reckless decision in the history of our democracy.”

In a post on Instagram on Tuesday, the veteran journalist linked the move directly to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, insisting:

“No Jupiter will stop Wike from using PDP structures for Tinubu. That’s already a done deal.”

Momodu accused the PDP of “shooting itself in the leg” by bowing to what he called “cheap blackmail” from opposition elements secretly working for the ruling APC.

He further dismissed speculations about a possible 2027 candidacy of former President Goodluck Jonathan, Labour Party’s Peter Obi, or Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, branding them “blatant lies from the pit of hell.”

According to him, PDP leaders have allowed Wike to dictate the party’s direction, despite his past opposition to zoning in 2022 when he even lobbied to be vice president to a northern candidate.

Momodu declared:

“The so-called seasoned politicians are celebrating a decision that only exposes their hypocrisy. Everyone can see that the hand is Wike’s, but the voice is Tinubu’s. PDP and APC will ultimately share the same candidate in 2027. Nigerians should stop deceiving themselves.”

He also recalled the party’s inconsistency, questioning why zoning was ignored when former President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua died, allowing Jonathan to complete the northern mandate, or when Tinubu ran a Muslim-Muslim ticket in 2023.

“The hypocrisy behind zoning power to the South stinks to high heavens. TRUTH must not be selective,” Momodu added.
