In a statement released on Friday, Osifo denounced the raid as a violation of fundamental rights, including freedom of speech and expression. He argued that the operation represented an overreach by security forces, undermining democratic principles that support peaceful dissent and the right to information.

Osifo called on the Federal Government to conduct a thorough and immediate investigation into the incident. He also demanded that those responsible for the raid return all confiscated materials to the NLC library and provide an explanation for their actions.
