Bandits have killed two men after they delivered a ransom intended for the release of victims abducted from Guaraka community in Tafa Local Government Area, Niger State.
According to LIB, the bandits raided a local hotel on August 19, 2024, abducting all the occupants, including the owner, his younger brother, his wife, the hotel manager, and three other guests.
The victims, identified as Abubakar Sani, known as Nda Abu, and Ibrahim Garba Shere, also called Alhaji Tapki, were tasked with delivering the ransom demanded by the abductors. Despite handing over the money, the bandits killed them.
The two men were buried on Saturday, September 14. Hon. Muhammad Sani, the representative for Tafa Constituency in the Niger State House of Assembly, attended the funeral and extended his condolences to the families and the community. He honored the victims as heroes, acknowledging that their memory would be cherished.
