In a statement on Friday, Tunde Moshood, the Special Adviser on Media and Communications to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, shared the news during the Gala Night at the 33rd Annual General Assembly of ACI Africa in Johannesburg, South Africa. Both airports were honored with plaques, presented by ACI Africa Secretary-General, Ali Tounsi, and President, Emmanuel Chaves.

“These prestigious awards are a testament to the unwavering dedication and efforts of all those ensuring excellence in airport emergency management and resilience, particularly the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr. Festus Keyamo,” the statement read. “Nigeria’s aviation sector can take pride in this achievement, highlighting the commitment to providing safe and efficient travel experiences.”
