In a statement released by the Executive Secretary of the Kwara State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Abdulsalam Abdulkadir, it was conveyed that the Board deeply mourns these unfortunate incidents, acknowledging the divine will of Allah in all matters.
The statement extends heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased, beseeching Allah to grant them solace and grant the departed forgiveness.
The first pilgrim, Saliu Mohammed, who arrived with Batch 3 of the state contingent, passed away in an intensive care unit of a public hospital in Madina after a brief illness.
The second pilgrim, Hajia Hawawu Mohammed (Batch 9), tragically lost her life in what Saudi authorities have determined to be an unfortunate incident of falling from the rooftop of her apartment in Madina.
