Two Suspects Detained After NDLEA Finds Drugs In Shrine RaidOperatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) conducted a raid on a shrine in Lagos linked to the storage of illicit drugs, resulting in the arrest of two suspects, Gbenga Abiodun and Sunday Abiodun.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

According to NDLEA spokesperson Femi Babafemi, the operation took place on Friday, October 25, 2024, at the Igbo-Igunuko shrine located at Alfa Beach in the Ajah area. During the raid, agents recovered jumbo bags of Ghanaian Loud, a potent strain of cannabis, weighing a total of 2,760 kg.

The statement also noted that another suspect, Ademola Oyelakin, was apprehended the same day along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway with 770 kg of the same psychoactive substance.

In related developments in Plateau State, a suspect named Fadan Bindom, 39, was arrested in Pilgani village with 65.85 kg of cannabis and 18 grams of tramadol. Additionally, Sunday Agbata, 42, was detained at Pavwei in the Jos South Local Government Area with 5,830 tablets and ampoules of bromazepam, diazepam, and pentazocine injections on Wednesday, October 23.

In Edo State, NDLEA operatives recovered 640 kg of cannabis concealed in 80 jumbo bags of fresh vegetables at Ewu Junction, Irrua, leading to the arrest of a 27-year-old suspect, Austin Oruamen. Another suspect, Adereti Kazeem, 35, was apprehended in Osun State with 200 blocks of cannabis weighing 133 kg on Thursday, October 24.
