In a recent interview, the actress stressed that marriage requires equal commitment, noting that unfaithfulness destroys homes and inflicts deep emotional wounds on women. She commended men who uphold loyalty, discipline, and mutual respect in their relationships.
Ogbodo insisted that marriage should be balanced, emphasising that no partner should demand fidelity while failing to offer the same. She criticised men who claim they cannot control their desires, urging them to embrace responsibility and self-discipline for the sake of their families.
The actress also spoke on issues of self-worth and sincerity, highlighting what she views as societal hypocrisy surrounding women’s experiences in marriage. She explained that many women conceal their struggles out of fear, even when sharing those stories could empower others.
According to her, women must recognise their value and avoid relationships that drain them emotionally or psychologically. She maintained that love begins with self-appreciation, adding that no woman should endure a partnership where her needs are ignored. Ogbodo further stressed that abuse is not limited to physical violence; emotional and psychological manipulation, she said, are equally damaging.
She urged women to prioritise their well-being and walk away from relationships that diminish their sense of self, insisting that no one is obligated to remain in a situation that causes continuous pain.
