During an interview on Channels Television, Rhodes-Vivour expressed his disbelief, stating that he had never witnessed such desperation in his lifetime. He pointed out that while macroeconomic plans are essential, the government needs to account for their real-world impact and prepare for the consequences on the ground.
He criticized the government’s financial handling, referencing untraceable funds that seemingly vanished without explanation. Reflecting on the disturbing events surrounding food distribution, he highlighted the extreme desperation of Nigerians, noting that people were queuing for food as early as 3 am, hours before designated food distribution centers even opened. Rhodes-Vivour emphasized that these incidents underscore the severe hardship many Nigerians are facing.
