Understanding Why Prince Harry And Wife Were Omitted From British High Commission Events In Nigeria....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The British High Commission in Nigeria clarified why it didn’t formally recognize the presence of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle during their visit to the country. Upon arriving, the couple engaged in various activities, including a military reception. They met with military officials in Abuja and visited the Defence Headquarters. Additionally, they traveled to Kaduna State, where they met with Governor Uba Sani and received traditional attire.
Surprisingly, the British High Commission’s social media accounts remained silent about the visit, deviating from their usual practice of acknowledging prominent UK dignitaries. Richard Montgomery, the British High Commissioner to Nigeria, explained that since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited as private citizens, the Commission had no obligation to acknowledge their presence officially.
During their time in Kaduna, Prince Harry emphasized the importance of sports in rehabilitating injured soldiers. The couple’s visit underscores their ongoing commitment to charitable endeavors.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision to step down as senior royals in 2020 was motivated by media intrusion and restrictions on their brand development. Despite retaining their titles, they are no longer referred to as “his” or “her royal highness.” Harry also relinquished his military titles.
Reports suggest tension within the royal family, with Prince Harry allegedly missing a flight to Scotland due to disagreements over bringing Meghan to see the Queen.
