Following the meeting, Mr. Aminu Umar, President of the NCS, highlighted maritime security as a pivotal realm of shared interest, particularly affecting stakeholders in shipping, especially within the Gulf of Guinea (GOG) region.

Umar explained that the meeting was centered on establishing mutual cooperation in areas including advocacy, policy enhancement, and capacity building. The partnership aims to bolster the maritime sector’s resilience while elevating its standards to international best practices.
