to collaborate closely with the 10th National Assembly in ensuring that Nigerians benefit from their abundant natural resources.

He conveyed this during a meeting with Alhaji Abubakar Apeshi, the Emir of Agwatashi in Nasarawa State, who paid a courtesy visit to his official guest house in Abuja yesterday.

Abbas expressed gratitude to the emir for the visit and acknowledged the recent discovery of crude oil reserves in Nasarawa State, particularly within the Agwatashi Emirate, following a comprehensive geodetic survey conducted by experts from the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL).

He assured the emir and his delegation of President Tinubu’s dedication to harnessing Nigeria’s natural resources for the benefit of its citizens.

He also pledged that the 10th National Assembly would collaborate with the executive branch to expedite this process.

Additionally, Abbas shared his aspirations for the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) to become the predominant political party in Nasarawa State.

He expressed concerns about ongoing internal disputes among party members, which have led to the loss of legislative seats at both the state and national levels to opposition parties.

Dr. Abubakar Apeshi, the Emir of Agwatashi, conveyed his congratulations to the speaker on his election to the prestigious office of the Number 4 Citizen and expressed the emirate’s full support and prayers for his successful execution of his duties.
