The development was disclosed by the Public Relations Officer of the FCT Police Command, SP Josephine Adeh, during an exclusive telephone interview with our correspondent on Saturday.

Adeh stated, “The CP has instructed the Mabushi Police Division, which was handling the case, to promptly transfer it to the SCID.”

Lola Ade-John, aged 60, who assumed her ministerial role in August, was hospitalized in Abuja due to symptoms of acute poisoning with an unknown origin. Her family members expressed concerns that time was running out in their efforts to save her life.

According to family sources familiar with her situation, the minister was urgently admitted to the Federal Medical Centre in Jabi as soon as she began displaying signs of illness. As of Saturday morning, she had spent five days at the facility.

Efforts to reach officials at the FMC for further information were unsuccessful, as they did not respond to phone calls and text messages from our correspondent.
