US Expresses Strong Condemnation Over Kidnapping Of Students In Kaduna

The abduction of school children in Kaduna State has been vehemently denounced by the United States. Approximately 200 internally displaced persons, predominantly comprising women, boys, and girls, were reportedly taken by suspected terrorists while gathering firewood in the Gomboru-Ngala and Dikwa council areas of Borno State, as per BUSHRADIOGIST. The US Mission in Nigeria, through its official X page, has called on the Nigerian government to apprehend the culprits and ensure they are held accountable.

In a statement, the United States expressed strong condemnation for the kidnapping of both schoolchildren in Kaduna and internally displaced persons in Borno. The official message on the US Mission’s page conveyed empathy for the families of the victims and a firm commitment to supporting justice. It urged the Nigerian government to take decisive action against the perpetrators and emphasized solidarity with the affected families in demanding the immediate and safe return of all those taken.

The statement concluded by expressing support for Nigeria’s efforts in securing the release of the abducted individuals, reinforcing the collective call for justice and the safe reunification of the victims with their families.
