US Lawmaker Condemns Kaduna Bloodshed: ‘Christian Genocide Must End In Nigeria
United States Congressman Riley Moore has called for urgent action to halt what he described as the “genocide of Christians” in Nigeria.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Moore made the statement on his verified X (formerly Twitter) account on Monday, responding to the recent abduction of a Catholic priest in Kaduna State.
The remarks followed last week’s attack on Holy Trinity Parish in Kaduna, where suspected bandits killed three parishioners and abducted the priest, Reverend Fr. Nathaniel Asuwaye, along with ten others.
During the assault, the armed attackers stormed the community, killing three members of the congregation before abducting the cleric and other victims.
In his response, Moore called for prayers for the safe return of Fr. Asuwaye and those still in captivity.
“Please join me in praying for the safe return of Rev. Fr. Nathaniel Asuwaye of Holy Trinity Parish in Kaduna, who was kidnapped alongside 10 others,” Moore wrote.
The US lawmaker characterized the attack as part of a growing wave of violence targeting Christians across Nigeria.
“Three of his parishioners were brutally murdered by radical Islamic jihadists during the attack. Last week has been among the most horrifically bloody days in recent memory for Christians in Nigeria,” he stated.
