“Victor Osimhen Transfer Rumors Heat Up Amid Galatasaray President’s Admission”
Galatasaray president Dursan Ozbek has confirmed that the Turkish giants are open to selling Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen at any time.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Osimhen, who spent last season on loan at Galatasaray from Serie A side Napoli, played a pivotal role in helping the club secure the domestic double. His strong performances prompted the club to complete a permanent transfer for the striker during the summer, reportedly outpacing Saudi side Al Hilal in the process.
Ozbek stated in a televised interview that Osimhen’s age and performance make him a valuable asset capable of being transferred to another club whenever the opportunity arises. Speculation has intensified over a potential move to Spanish powerhouse Barcelona, which is reportedly monitoring the striker closely.
Meanwhile, former Nigerian international Yakubu Aiyegbeni has criticized the Super Eagles’ heavy reliance on Osimhen, suggesting it contributed to the team missing out on the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Aiyegbeni highlighted that, despite scoring a hat-trick against Gabon to help Nigeria reach the African playoff final, Osimhen was substituted at halftime during the decisive defeat to the Democratic Republic of Congo—a move he believes undermined the team’s performance.
Aiyegbeni further expressed concern over Nigeria’s limited attacking options, noting that the team’s other strikers do not match Osimhen’s intensity and effectiveness on the pitch.
