Among those who accompanied the vice president were Hope Uzodimma, Dapo Abiodun, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, and James Faleke, among other APC chieftains. Meanwhile, the APC National Working Committee confirmed the adoption of the direct primary system for the selection of the party’s presidential candidate. Speaking before the submission of Tinubu’s forms, APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda said the party’s decision to endorse the president for a second term was based on the administration’s developmental policies and achievements, which he said require continuity. After submitting the forms, Shettima expressed confidence in the administration’s direction, assuring Nigerians that the government would build on its current achievements and deliver improved outcomes in the coming years.
