The Lead British International School in Abuja found itself embroiled in further controversy on Tuesday morning as a parent intervened in an incident of bullying, resulting in a physical altercation with the alleged bully.

Social media user @mooyeeeeeee shared two videos depicting a disturbing scene where a female student, identified as Maryam Hassan, was subjected to repeated slaps by another student.

The circulating footage sparked widespread outrage among Nigerians, prompting calls for the school authorities to launch a thorough investigation into the matter.

In response to the public outcry, concerned parents gathered at the school premises on Tuesday, seeking resolution and accountability for the incident.

Maryam Hassan, accompanied by her parents, was also present during the commotion. Tensions escalated when one parent confronted the alleged bully, admonishing her for her actions.

Expressing her dismay, the parent exclaimed, “You are proud of what you did! You beat an innocent child—did you give birth to her?” Despite attempts by the student to disengage from the confrontation, the irate parent persisted, pushing for answers.

Amid the escalating confrontation, the situation reached a boiling point when the angry parent resorted to physical reprimand, delivering a slap to the student. Subsequently, another individual intervened to defuse the escalating tension.
