In a recent Instagram post, the seasoned actor issued a stern warning regarding any future film productions involving Angel, a rising actress. He accused the actress’s mother of disrupting productions by abruptly removing her daughter from sets, despite prior agreements. Expressing his dismay and frustration, the actor recounted his personal encounter with the situation, previously dismissing similar reports until experiencing it firsthand.
“I am speaking out to protect Nigeria’s entertainment industry,” the actor declared in the video. “There’s a particular woman holding producers hostage, and unfortunately, it happened to me with Angel Unigwe’s mother.”
He emphasized the importance of honoring contractual agreements in the industry, lamenting that after payment, the situation would drastically change. According to him, the actress was taken away at 9 pm, breaching their agreed-upon terms.
“This is a plea to all producers for professionalism,” he urged. “From now until July 1, 2024, any production involving Angel Unigwe, I will intervene to ensure filming does not proceed. Her mother has been threatening numerous producers.
The actor’s post highlights his commitment to addressing industry challenges, urging stakeholders to uphold professionalism and contractual integrity in Nigerian filmmaking.
